  User experience in Windows 11

It’s now 2021, and Windows 11 is due to release on 28 June 2021 to insiders! Microsoft is integrating a lot of experiences across their platforms, some which are partnered with other companies:

  1. Microsoft Teams
  2. Xbox Game Pass
  3. Android Apps (via Amazon App Store)
  4. Productivity changes

Read on for a list of changes:

Windows Widgets

Snap Layouts

The brand new Snap Layouts feature allows you to multitask better by grouping the applications and websites together, and allowing you to open the group instantly from the Taskbar, instead of alt-tabbing across different windows.

Snap Groups

Rearranging everything after undocking to a separate monitor will be a thing of the past! Everything stays in place with Snap Groups, making it easier to jump back into your workspace when you re-connect an additional monitor to your setup.

Windows Virtual Desktops

Windows 11 will allow you to easily create and setup different virtual desktops that you can separate for gaming, work or personal activities, allowing you to have multiple desktops at one go.

Pen Haptics

Windows 11 adds pen haptics to make drawing, writing and highlighting more immersive for artists and note-takers.

Voice typing and commands

Voice typing and commands across Windows 11 is an important addition to Windows 11, allowing you to type and use commands with your voice.

Microsoft Teams

Teams is also fully integrated, which means you can chat and call your friends and family straight from the desktop, free of charge (internet connection excluded).

Improved Microsoft Store

The Microsoft Store is finally seeing a redesign, with better-curated content, and better options for managing your purchased shows such as mirroring to your television.

WPA, EWP, Win32, Disney+, Adobe Creative Cloud, Pinterest and basically every single Android app (via Amazon App Store) you can find in the Anrdoid App store are included in this store for Windows 11.

Light and Dark mode

Light Mode and Dark Mode are official, with rounded corners and a unified design across the operating system.

Xbox Game Pass

Removing the clunky Windows 10 Xbox app, Windows 11 will introduce the Xbox Game Pass which is a seamless way to access, download and manage your Xbox games on your desktop.

HDR Support

HDR will also be supported on compatible machines, offering improved lighting and contrast for gaming and viewing media.

DirectStorage API

Direct Storage allows you to have main game assets able to be downloaded and installed, enabling you to play your games even faster than before.
